Faqs

What is the current status of the Avernus Gate series?

All fifteen novels in the series have been drafted. They are presently being edited and revised. This is an ongoing process.

Could the versions that now exist be sent to a publisher right now?

Yes.  In the opinion of the author, additions or extensive revisions aren't required.  That said, a publisher would doubtless observe that they aren't yet flawless.

When will publication commence?

Publication has begun already. The entire series is now accessible from this website.

How long are the novels in the series?

The shortest is approximately 100,000 words, the longest approximately 300,000. By way of comparison, Anna Karenina is 350,000.  Avernus Gate as a whole is 3.2 million words.

How can the author be contacted?

Charles is not presently responding to queries from the general public.  Literary agents and publishers can easily track him down.  He resides in Canada's capital: Ottawa, Ontario.
